Description of the Project Magic® program
Project Magic, developed in 1981 in the United States, is a rehabilitation method recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association and has been used nationwide in the U.S. since 1984. The “Project Magic” program describes 65 magic tricks and their use for rehabilitation purposes, which are selected and applied in collaboration with a therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, physician and professional volunteer magician. Sick children in the hospital, with the help of magicians, volunteers, nurses and doctors, learn the tricks of their choice to help them recover. By practicing these, they can later present them to their parents and friends. The project is currently operating in 12 hospitals in Hungary, but their goal is to enable all clinics to use this rehabilitation treatment in the country.

More information about the foundation and the program can be found at the following link: csodalampa.hu
At the end of 2021 with the support of Onespire Ltd., children treated at provincial children’s clinics received magic packages to support their recovery under the Project Magic rehabilitation program.

The operation of the Magic Lamp Foundation is financed mainly by 1% tax offer and corporate or private donations. Please, if you can, support the foundation in achieving their goals.
We would like to thank all contributors for helping children treated at clinics to recover!

About the Foundation
The Démétér Foundation is a gap-filling initiative that improves the recovery chances for children awaiting or having undergone bone marrow transplants. The organization’s goal is to ensure the constant proximity of parents and family during preparation and recovery at the Démétér House, located on the grounds of the Szent László Hospital in Budapest.
After children who have undergone bone marrow transplantation are able to leave the hospital, they still require regular medical check-ups; therefore, they can move into the Démétér House with their parents. This allows children from all parts of the country to stay in a friendly and safe environment throughout the entire procedure, where they can overcome their illness more easily and together with their parents.
The foundation was established and is continuously developed by the hospital’s Bone Marrow Transplantation Department to ensure that every child in need has the opportunity to use the house’s services if necessary. What makes the place special is that, in addition to the cozy environment, the proximity of the hospital and specialists means that medical staff can rush to the scene within five minutes if needed. The foundation’s philosophy is that healing must occur not only physically, but also mentally and socially.
Further goals of the Démétér Foundation include expanding the house and further developing its surroundings.
Supporting the Démétér Foundation
As the leaders of Onespire Ltd., we pay tribute to the dedicated work of the Démétér Foundation with deep gratitude and respect. We believe that we all share the responsibility for ensuring the mental and physical development of future generations; therefore, it is a great pleasure for us to have been able to support the activities of the Démétér Foundation with our financial contribution of two million forints.

The Bókay Children’s Clinic and the Foundation
The Department of Pediatrics No. I (Bókay Children’s Clinic) has been treating sick infants and children since 1839, continuously for the past 180 years, without missing a single day.
Today, the institution operates in five buildings on Bókay János Street, under the leadership of Director Prof. Dr. Attila Szabó since 2013.

Approximately sixty thousand outpatients and eight thousand five hundred inpatients arrive at the clinic with their parents each year from across the country and beyond its borders. In addition, they provide neonatal screening for about sixty thousand infants. Currently, they operate with 145 hospital beds and outpatient clinics covering numerous specialties. The radiology department performs twelve thousand ultrasound and seven thousand X-ray examinations annually.
Alongside high-quality care, the hospital places great emphasis on allowing sick children to spend as much time as possible with their parents during their hospital stay, as the presence of mothers and fathers increases the chances of recovery. Beyond healing physical ailments and providing care, they also focus on the psychological and social support of children and their families.
The main goals of the Bókay Children’s Clinic Public Benefit Foundation, registered in 2011, include developing the clinic’s infrastructure, acquiring life-saving equipment, purchasing and developing diagnostic tools for premature babies, rehabilitating children who have undergone organ transplants, and conducting research activities.
