Report about our 2021 Magic Lamp Foundation support
We delivered Magic Boxes to 120 sick children with the help of the Magic Lamp Foundation
Last Christmas, our company supported several non-profit organizations, the Magic Lamp Foundation, Bethesda Hospital and the N.A.P. Public Benefit Foundation.
We recently received feedback from the Magic Lamp Foundation about the usage of our 1,000,000 Hungarian forint contribution. Now we provide details, introducing the activities of the organization and the Project Magic program.
Introducing the Magic Lamp Foundation
The organization was founded in 2003, its mission is to support seriously ill children between the ages of 3 and 18 by making their dreams come true.
Their goal is to be able to fulfill the wishes of 200-300 minors recovering nationwide every year. During the last 18 years they have already succeeded in fulfilling more than 4,000 requests.
In addition, they would like to provide spiritual and psychological support to the children and their parents through the joy of fulfilling a wish, and they also support the medical healing efforts.
The Magic Lamp Foundation has received many prestigious awards in recent years, including:
- 2013: Superbrands special prize and MagyarBrands prize For the Children
- 2019: EMMI Pro Voluntarius Award
- 2020: Acquisition of Ethical Fundraising Organization certification
The foundation operates in the main provincial children’s clinics: Budapest, Miskolc, Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Győr, Szombathely, Veszprém, Zalaegerszeg, Kaposvár – Mosdós, Nyíregyháza and Kecskemét.
The Magic Lamp wishes are organized with the help of the national volunteer network of 150 people.
Description of the Project Magic® program
Project Magic, developed in 1981 in the United States, is a rehabilitation method recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association and has been used nationwide in the U.S. since 1984.
The “Project Magic” program describes 65 magic tricks and their use for rehabilitation purposes, which are selected and applied in collaboration with a therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, physician and professional volunteer magician.
Sick children in the hospital, with the help of magicians, volunteers, nurses and doctors, learn the tricks of their choice to help them recover. By practicing these, they can later present them to their parents and friends.
The project is currently operating in 12 hospitals in Hungary, but their goal is to enable all clinics to use this rehabilitation treatment in the country.

At the end of 2021 with the support of Onespire Ltd., children treated at provincial children’s clinics received magic packages to support their recovery under the Project Magic rehabilitation program.
The operation of the Magic Lamp Foundation is financed mainly by 1% tax offer and corporate or private donations. Please, if you can, support the foundation in achieving their goals.
